I suspect this is a paths/structure issue.

Could you show your TV shows library paths (and Looney Tunes library path, if still existing)?

Edit: If Looney Toons library doesn't exist, could you tell which path you've added for its library folder?

@Starkraven420can u paste a screenshot of your library folders ?

This is mine:

I believe that the issue is that you're using o:\Looney tunes that is the show folder as a library folder.

Try the following:

Put Looney Tunes folder into another folder, for example WB Cartoons:

O\WB Cartoons\Looney Tunes

and then, remove from your library o:\Looney Tunes and add O:\WB Cartoons as your library folder.

This will solve the issue.

The issue is that the Show folder is now the library folder, so emby expect to get a subfolder for the show and there isn't.

PS: If you plan to continue using Plex, after this change update Plex library accordingly.

Hope this helps.

Exactly, hence I was asking for library paths.

Yes, but sometimes you forgot that newbies users are not so familiar with "text requests", sometimes showing a screenshot of what you're requesting made things easier ;)

OK this worked. Having as a sub-folder is different for me...as PLEX doesn't need a sub-folder. I feel dumb...lol

But thanks everyone...migrating to emby from plex this last 24 hours or so. Little bit of learning, but overall the same.

Dont feel dumb, it's a different app with different folder structure needed, I know because I suffered the same 5 years ago :P happy this worked and solved your issue :)

Yea I may have mis-understood. All I read was Emby needed to use folders. But everything is already in a folder. It should say Emby uses sub-folders. 🤦‍♂️

I feel your pain,  I am also in the process of potentially migrating from Plex to Emby.  The learning curve is real.

Plex is a very polished product.  Emby seems to still be a little rough around the edges, but I keep discovering more and more features that Emby has that I wanted as a Plex user. The case for migration keeps getting stronger!

Maybe we can start a group "plex users anonymous" and help each other though the process.  😀  Maybe even get Darkstar to join as our mentor!

I mostly have left for migration is my normal TV shows. I have Nature TV, Kiddie TV (pre-school thru toddler) and Cartoon TV (adult-ish Cartoons) already done. Movies are easy and doesn't use the CPU as much. TV is a ton harder on my pc... NOT looking forward to adding 1000+ full TV series as the CPU is really pumped for hours...unless I try not seeking intros, but I like to auto skip those. Even a 12 core CPU sometimes shuts pc down when sniffing each episode...suks! But PLEX screwed the pooch with me after years of using them.

I would set it to never during initial import / scan.

Then set it to scheduled or scheduled and import after that.

That way it should only work on it during your downtime schedule  or imported.

Cool. Yea i've done it both ways, but either way, i'd have to be around to reboot if it shuts down. Been doing that lately while rendering vids too. Wonder if my gfx card is takin a dump? Windows logs don't tell me squat for a pc crash.

This will also slow things down 😉

KB article updated.

When setting up the library, make sure to select TV as the content type. It is mandatory for each TV show to have its own folder under the library folder path(s).
