Lnchbox 0 Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 So the OS hard drive in my server died and I replaced it. My emby back up were located on a different drive that is still functional. I got my os reinstalled and emby installed with docker just like I had it before. I point the plug in to the parent directory of my back ups and restarted emby. The backups did not show up. I was playing around with it and ran a back up. The new back up showed up. So I look in side of the folder and all my other backups were gone. Lucky I ran snapraid fix on that folder and it said had no errors recovering my backups. Now I restart emby and it still does not show my previous backups. Does anyone have any idea why it would be showing my backups? I at 100% sure i have have it pointed at the parent folder of my backups. I deleted the container and started over again with no luck. Do thw emby versions from my setup and the new setup have to be the same for it to see rhe backups? If so how do I find out what version my backups were made from because I don't remember? Any help is welcome, thank you
Luke 42077 Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 Hi, what version of the server are you running? When were those backups generated?
Lnchbox 0 Posted September 20, 2025 Author Posted September 20, 2025 I believe the backups were from around beta 4.9.0.19. Im not sure if that's the exact but I believe it is. And I was try to restore on the latest beta version.
Luke 42077 Posted September 22, 2025 Posted September 22, 2025 OK they really should be visible. Do the old backup folders have different permissions on them than the new?
