MurdocL67SC 1 Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 I searched the forums. I saw some older posts similar to this issue. I didn't see a solid "fix" unless I missed it. I have the lifetime license. I have run the server for about 3 years. It's networked through a Cisco Catalyst 1300 managed switch & Cisco Aironet AP. No hardware or firmware updates have changed in the last 60 days. I got this error last week on my iPhone 13 Pro on iOS 18 and have been trying to figure it out. I try on Cellular and Wi-Fi with the same result. I upgraded to iOS 26 last night and same thing. I ran a test today streaming the same TV series episode simultaneously on 3 of my Windows 11 PC's, 2 of my Windows 10 PC's, my kids Android tablet and my Fire Stick. No playback warning. I try to play it on the iPhone and I get that playback error (no compatible streams). I rebooted the server, performed windows updates, updated Emby, rescanned my library, rescanned meta data. Still....won't stream on the iPhone. I am not sure what gives other than the obvious Apple hardware/software glitch. I'm stumped.
Luke 42077 Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

Stupid question: Did you try to close Emby app on iphone and reopen it again ? It happened to me sometimes, not just with no compatible streams, even sometimes says server cannot be reached, and the solution is close the emby app on the phone ( go to open aps swipe up emby app) and reopen it again ... Hope this helps.

I'll add that I too was seeing an issue on two Apple devices and was preparing a log file top submit here, saw this comment and had a look. A setting on iOS for 'Local Network' access under Emby permissions was off, turned this on for both devices and now the issue is gone. 1
