This is the latest log file after changing the permissions. Can you see if there's any other issues? Is there a permissions issue? All my media files are stuck at the beginning when I click them, and they keep spinning in circles after the categories appear. But if I drag the progress bar a little, it plays normally. Is this still a permissions issue?

I strongly suggest that the emby technicians list the complete commands required to increase the permissions on the folder directory so that people can fully imitate and use them. Debian is a very stable & secure server OS, but it is generations behind (intentionally) for GPU drivers.  I spent weeks troubleshooting the No Compatible Streams error in my Debian Linux based Emby Server.  I'm guessing this only happens when transcoding (not direct streaming) & only for certain file types, HECV, DV, HDR10+.

The reason it is failing, is that Debian is running Intel GPU Drivers v22 or less.  The versions there after, added a great deal of transcoding support.  Even using experimental driver repo's I was unable to force Debian to accept the current Intel 25 LTS GPU drivers.  Swap to ubuntu, load the latest intel drivers, & all of these issues go away.  Good luck!

In desperation, I finally used chmod 777 /vol5/1000/cinema, which gave all permissions and allowed it to run, but it felt like it could easily cause permissions to get out of control. Apart from this, I couldn't find any other commands that could run normally.

I download pt through qbittorrent, and the downloaded directory is this Cinema. I use an administrator named emby to manage it, and I use an administrator named CHEN to manage the debian system.

Why don't you start by spending a few hours learning the OS you have chosen to run Emby on (there are many ways to do this with guides, YouTube, etc.)?

1. Lose the attitude that Emby should correct everyone's Linux install because you chose the OS to run it!
2. Start with basic Linux permissions (get rid of the ACLs as they are rarely needed for home or even many small businesses, and confuse things).
3. Many here don't like helping pirates (Torrents).

Then maybe one of us here will give you a hand (maybe even for free)

I read your message and feel deeply insulted. I don't understand why you accuse me of being a pirate? Even if it's because my IP address is from China? I think this is discrimination!!! I use a Debian-based NAS OS developed by https://www.fnnas.com/. I'm a fully licensed member of Emby, which I believe can verify this; my ID is available. I don't have any pirated software on my computer. My Windows and Office are genuine, and all other software I use is genuine or open source. Why do you directly accuse me of being a pirate? What kind of prejudice or preconceptions allow you to make such accusations without understanding the facts?
You're right. I should definitely learn Linux, but I'm not a computer science major. I imagine many Emby users share the same sentiment. As an Emby member, I believe Emby should provide some technical support. Furthermore, if the system and application details are clearly defined, Emby should be able to easily determine directory permissions. Even if emby isn't clear, using a command like "sudo chmod -R 777 /emby/folder" should have given all files in the directory 777 permissions. I've also followed the emby administrator's instructions and even given the media directory more permissions, so why am I still experiencing this issue?

I'm willing to pay because I know knowledge is valuable, especially knowledge I don't understand, just like buying genuine software. I also hope someone can help me. As I mentioned earlier, for some unspecified reasons, I can't continue using my normal Windows system on my NAS. I've had to switch to this NAS operating system, which uses Debian, a system I'm not familiar with. I've searched and studied Google for a long time, but I can't find a solution. My limited skills are why I'm seeking help on this forum!

I haven't really considered this. The forums I joined don't specify whether it's pirated media. I'm not in the computer industry, so if it's pirated media, then you're right. I'm also curious, is all the media on your computer legitimate? Also, I don't rely solely on Emby; I also have a Netflix membership. I only use Emby to collect movies and home videos that I really need to have.

Then ask again, if you accuse me so much, I believe that your computer must not have any pirated or no royalty documents, right?
