High battery usage

Hi,

my Emby started using all of my battery recently on my Samsung S23. I close the app but seems like there is still some background stuff happening since it's draining the whole battery within couple of hours.  

Only thing that I know of is uninstalling Emby for Android from my phone every day to stop it from draining my phones battery.

One thing that I noticed in the logs is that it keeps spamming "Hardware Detection" a lot. Any ideas how to fix this ?

Attached one of the detection files, is this fine enough. Will need to wait for the debug, just installed the app again and will check when it starts using the battery heavily again.

What makes you think Emby for Android is responsible?

The phone pretty much says so attached picture of the drain on the battery.
Even if i'm not watching emby and close the app it seems like some process is left hanging on the background and it will drain the battery.

Hi, i am observing same issue.
I have Xiaomi Pad 5. When i watch tv shows at night and when i go to sleep i just click power button to lock tab (which works ok). But in morning, i have 40% less battery, which is ALOT!
Previously i had plex installed and worked ok. Clicked power button to lock tablet and in morning only 1% was missing - just for reference

Its there on ios also. When playing audiobooks on an ipad with screen off for hours, battery drains alot. Had to stop using emby for it. Playing with a filemanager now....Big difference
