I really dont know what it is you are asking of me. That's part of my confusion. Is it an hour off? Yes. I have verified over this over 170 times.

I want to help. I really, really do. But I don't know how to "prove" this to you other than why would I be lying about this??? I just want this to be over so there is no way I would be lying about this for shits and giggles

(btw, I don't think you think I am making this issue up, I am just using that lens to shine a light on this particular point)

In 5 mins Sparkle in Silver is "scheduled" to end and some TBA show is "scheduled" to start. I will record from 6:58 to 7:02 and share the video here

All I want is the guide start date/time for an airing and the actual start time/

saying one hour out does not tell me which way the one hour out is. So title / guide start time / actual start time

and would the guide be right if we were not in DST (day light saving) period ?

I don't know. How would I know this? Again. I cannot stress this enough:

EVERY
OTHER
SHOW
RECORDS
ON
TIME

In that light time zones, clock settings, aliens landing in Norway, etc all are negated

Here is the video showing the issue:

sa2000, I know you are trying to help but my frustration is really getting to me

Yes but I wanted an actual example from the guide now - not one from days ago

I am sorry for being pedantic

I am not going to go back to gracenite citing a TBA as an example

can I have it in words please for an actual valid guide entry not a to be announced

in words:

program title

guide start date and time

actual start date and time

I have re-opened the gracenote issue

I am hoping that it is a simple case where day light saving adjustment is not being made

I got JF set up to record 1h early for that one show my mom wants and to save it in a folder Emby watches for its recordings. I can just just forget JF is even there :D It's EPG data for that channel is the same time but overall there seems to be more data there as well. It's of course using Schedules Direct data. This expires for me in 2 months

To be clear, I don't really care about the extra data for some paid programming stuff and whatnot. Since Emby had to leave Schedules Direct behind their awesome EPG data has not let me down until earlier this year. We moved from DirectTV to YouTube TV and JTV is not on YTTV. But they have JTV app for your TVs and sticks. Turns out they don't update that with any regularity or accuracy what-so-ever. It was then, to my sheer astonishment that it's a hecking local channel right on my Emby!! Was very happy. As I mentioned earlier for a while it was okay that it was off by an hour. Because Emby was awesome enough to allow it, a 1h earlier start and stop solved the problem. Sure it came in as two shows being recorded over those two hours but... thems the breaks. We live in an imperfect world. Flash to even more recently and my dad and I started recording sports. He is 83 and she is 81 and I am just a son trying to keep them as happy as possible while dealing with limited income.

So, for the time being everything is going to work out and I have 2 months to look for another solution to save me another $35 (Not the end of the world if I do and stay like this). But it looks to me that I might be able to remove JF sooner, rather than later. As you can see the EPG between my SilconeDust HDHR app matches that of the data from Schedules Direct but I can then use the XML data and have a script scoot that one channel over an hour :D yay image.thumb.png.5f52be99476043b006a5e37c4a1bb1f5.png

I do appreciate it but when I opened this thread I was not looking to fix Gracenote. I was willing to do so but I felt like I was being trolled a bit. No need to defend against that accusation as I am sure that was not your intention. Okay? I only bring it up to explain why I got so frustrated with the situation. Okay? I know you are good at your job. As I deal with support on a volunteer basis for a large(-ish) project I know it does not help in any way when someone gets to my levels of frustration.

I do appreciate you

This was a 1 hour too early issue before MAR 9th and I suspect will remain one after NOV 2nd

Here is am image of the DTV guide and the Emby guide (before I map it to the DTV guide data to fix the issue)

image.thumb.png.aeaf1ca7929dccc8daf7d18dfe0ec77c.png

You can see the difference.

However it is the awesome data provided by Emby that lets me fix it with data from DTV.. so either way.. THANKS, Emby!!!

Thank You.

I have given Gracenote another example

image.png

compared with the guide schedule data from Gracenote

    "startTime": "2025-09-22T15:00Z",
    "title": "Jewel School - Jewelry Making",
	(Local Time 10:00 am 22 September)

    "startTime": "2025-09-22T17:00Z",
    "title": "Color Crush Jewelry",
	(Local Time 12:00 am 22 September)

Gracenote have fixed the problem. They were following instructions provided by the station which obviously was wrong

You may need to clear the cache in Emby to allow a guide refresh to get the new data. Emby Server caches this data for 24 hours.

So either wait 24 hours and then do a guide refresh, or you could in Live TV Advanced Server Settings change the number of days to request guide data for and that will make the requests different - you can change it back to 14 after you do the refresh, or you can delete the Emby Server programdata cache\httpclient folder contents and then do a guide refresh
