52.5 Dallas, TX - KFWD sub-channel "JTV" offset

I have had this issue for 6 months at least but it never occurred to me to ask here, I figured it was the channel's fault and I just had to wait for it to be fixed one day. For a while I even had it set to start all recordings 1 hour early lol

 

But I digress, the issue is that 52.5 JTV in Dallas, TX has guide data that is one hour later than the program airs. For the longest time, my mother recording this one show was the only thing recorded so there was no real issue and the 1 hour early start was a good enough fix. Lately, more more stuff is being recorded and early start had to be removed so she just misses half her show on jewelry making.

I can see that it appears to be out by 1 hour. I will refer this to Gracenote.

When you refer something to Gracenote, how long does the change take?

I am afraid It varies. For one channel, it was fixed within a couple of days. For another we are still waiting after 6 weeks now !

Not in a major rush or anything so these questions are more for my curiosity and edification more than anything else, but other than me looking at the guide is there any way to know that your request was accepted and implemented? Do you get notified or is there some website where I can go to look at updates to Gracenote (no idea what that is tho, but I picture it as some bi red head with note pad scribbling things down, lol)

Is it possible you are accessing a channel aimed at a different timezone ? What is the city? and which antenna would be picking from - we can see reported signal level on channelmaster

Your lineup ID showed 75023 as your zip code - is that your actual zip code

and could you send me proof with screenshots showing time and program airing abd the guide info and confirmation that the machine is running at right timezone

Plano, TX 75023 is my city and zip and you want screenshots of what? Yes my server is running the correct time zone

We are recording everything else on time, just 52.5 is off by an hour

I wanted some proof that 52.5 airing is an hour off - probably need to get the screenshots of the guide and the TV airing when it starts a new airing that is not the same as one before it. So probably all 3 best to do when Prazana-Lan Grown starts

which shows the channels as very weak signals for this zip code - which is why I asked if that channel was intended to be for your area. Having a good aerial is not relevant to the issue.

so from the earlier screenshot we know prazana was starting at about 4pm. Do you have proof / screen to show that this did not happen at 4pm ? Some tangible evidence to pass to Gracenote and to ask them why they think it is right

Timezone is showing as UTC-5 (is that with Day Light Saving?)

Are you able to establish which market / geographic region this channel broadcast is aimed for ? Having very weak signal showing in channel master suggests it is not aimed for your zip code

I don't know. It says it started an hour ago.  To me this channel looks the same every "show". Its just them selling jewelry making crap that my 81yr old mother just cant seem to live without

You are awesome, thank you so much for trying but maybe I should just pay SiliconDust $35 a year? This is such a niche channel I would hate for you to waste any more time on it At this point I really dont know what to do or how to give you the info you are looking for. Tell Gracenote to call my momma. She'll set straight

According to the schedule it is a 2 hour airing followed for 2 hours on Pearls "Precious World of Pearls"

So if it finishes in x minutes - just give me those times rather than leaving it to me to work it out from the time you post and how the forum changes timezones when displaying posts

So what time did it start and what time is it ending. You can hopefully see the switch from diamonds to pearls !
