AppleTV does not display split video files

I designed my layout for split video files as explained here: https://emby.media/support/articles/Movie-Naming.html#split-video-files-file-stacking

On AppleTV it does not show both parts. In fact, when played, its starts with Part 2, and ignores Part 1!

Files:

The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)/The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)-part1.mkv
The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)-part1-poster.jpg
The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)/The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)-part2.mkv
The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)/The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)-part2.nfo

It is missing the nfo for part one (maybe?), however it does "know" about it, and creates an image to display a thumb on the Desktop (Chrome) interface. It also plays Part 2 first on Desktop as well.

I tried removing folder and refreshing server scheduled tasks, and re-adding it, but it always seems to remember part2 as the starting video.

Thoughts?

Hi, how does the web app compare?

On desktop It show the movie without any "version" drop downs, when you click "Play" it will jump to "Part 2", it shows "Part 1" below the movie title as an "Additional Part" with a clickable image link.

hi @eagleeye208the ordering should be resolved in the upcoming 4.9 server release.

We will look at adding additional parts to apple tv.

Thanks !

Hi, that is multi-version, not multi-part. The app does not yet support multi-part, but this will be coming.

The fact that you've got a part 2 in there suggests you have not named your files properly for multi-part:

So the versions thing you noted was actually Emby merging Theatrical and Extended after the update to 4.9.1.80. After I re-split the version, I still have Part2 starting first, with thumbnail of part1. I tried removing the folder, rescanning library, removing part2 from folder, readd folder to Movie folder, rescanning (it picks up part1 and its chapter thumbnails just fine), then re-add part2, rescanning... Boom back to defaulting to part2 first on play, with part1 back to being a thumbnail under 😕

Hi, can you please show the complete contents of the folder? thanks.

Also @eagleeye208can you please temporarily enable debug server logging in the server logs section, then run a library scan. Then when it finishes, please attach that debug log.

Thanks !

OK I think I've finally tracked this down. Please let me know if the next build resolves it. Thanks !
