.embyignore/.plexignore when target volume is not writeable?

I have an unusual issue..

The Drobo (which I used for many years, and has many many movies and TV shows on it) no longer allows writing to it. It is still readable however.
One particular show I have on it has many corrupted files, and needs to be replaced. I have a second drive I am using when I add new shows and movies now; and the show which needs replacing already has the replacement on it.

My goal here is to figure out a way to tell Emby that I want it to ignore that show's show folder, only (the one on the read-only Drobo). - There are other shows on the (now) read-only volume, and I still want Emby to access those.
So, as the volume is read-only, I cannot add a .embyignore file to it. No, I do not want to remove the volume from emby, and then add each show folder individually, as I have too many to make that practical.

BTW:  Yes, I do intend to replace that Drobo, just as soon as I can afford to do so.
But meanwhile..

Is there a way to tell Emby server to ignore just that show, from the read-only volume?

HI, sadly I cannot think of a way to avoid it being scanned. Obviously you can use various technique to hide it once it's imported but that's not quite as desirable of a solution.
