MB3 sound issues

Issue - Starting sounds problems

MB Classic - version - 3.0.78.0 B10-17.2

 

Start watching program through WMC / MC Classic it has no sound. I press stop and then play again and the sound starts.

Mid program, pause the program for long time (10 min plus) and when press play I get video stutter and no sound. Press stop and then resume, both video and sound start fine.

I guess that nothing to do with MBC. I think that this is due to misconfiguration of codecs.

This is either a codec or hdmi problem if you are using a receiver.

Hmm, I was previously using old mediabrowser and it worked fine. All I have done is uninstall that and install this version and now probs. ....

Did you setup your library using UNC paths so that the content is being played directly and not streaming?

All files are on local usb drives so are e:\videos etc

That will only work if the server and MBC are on the same machine.  Even if that is the case, it may limit you in using other clients from other machines so I recommend using the UNC paths anyway.

 

Do you get a message when you play something telling you it is going to try to stream it?

Server and classic on same machine. No other clients to stream too and no messages. Will try unc paths.

I don't know if UNC paths will help you with this issue but it will be better in the future.

 

Also, I see the server is having trouble accessing your media folders.  Be sure you have permissions set properly.
