syvcxm 23 Posted September 10, 2025 Posted September 10, 2025 (edited) In the latest server 4.9 beta version, the additional parts are correctly appended under the main item. However, when clicked, it plays immediately. Sometimes I just want to view and set its metadata, not play it directly. Could you please add an option in the settings, like "Play additional part directly" or "Open additional part separately" ? Edited September 10, 2025 by syvcxm
ebr 16169 Posted September 10, 2025 Posted September 10, 2025 Hi. Additional parts are just a continuation of the same item. They shouldn't have separate metadata.
Luke 42077 Posted September 10, 2025 Posted September 10, 2025 Hi, try refreshing the metadata on the main movie. Normally most of the metadata should get synced to the additional part.

My question is: when clicking the title of an additional part, can it open a separate page like the Extra section do, rather than automatically playing? In stable version 4.8, I recall that clicking the title opened a separate page instead of triggering autoplay. Or could we make it an “optional setting” so that clicking the title doesn't trigger autoplay?
Luke 42077 Posted September 10, 2025 Posted September 10, 2025 It would have to be an option. I think the extra click is clunky, personally.

A typical playback scenario is: a movie's additional part contain multiple external subtitle tracks, and I wish to select them in advance. In other words, I want the playback behavior to be under my own control. 1
