plittlefield 56 Posted September 8, 2025 Posted September 8, 2025 I have 2 versions of my movies … “FHD” / 1080p, Dolby Atmos ”HD” / 720p, AC3 … so that certain devices will play direct for efficiency. I’ve just tried to use my iPhone to download the “HD” version by selecting the HD version first in the app. However, the app has downloaded the Full HD version instead, which I don’t need! How can I grab the smaller HD version? Thanks.
Luke 42077 Posted September 8, 2025 Posted September 8, 2025 HI, there is currently no way to pick a version. What quality did you select though?
plittlefield 56 Posted September 8, 2025 Author Posted September 8, 2025 Hi Luke, Thanks for the super quick reply! I picked Original, because I thought it would honour my version choice I could choose a lower quality but then it’s going to start transcoding bla bla bla. The full HD version in this case is about 4 GB in size,1080 HEVC and Dolby Atmos which I’m really not gonna appreciate on an iPhone 12 mini. I need to keep some iPhone storage for photos. What can I do?!

plittlefield 56 Posted September 9, 2025 Author Posted September 9, 2025 Yes, and it's not good news I selected the lowest quality on the drop down ... 1.5 Mbps (which is about the same as my HD version) and left it overnight to download. This morning, it's not on my phone. Any ideas?
plittlefield 56 Posted September 9, 2025 Author Posted September 9, 2025 Okay, so weird … 1. the movie downloaded after I went in to the settings and manage downloads. I then saw a green bar go across and complete. 2. the movie downloaded at 480p with AC3. So, I’m happy with that but none of it makes sense lol. Any thoughts?

plittlefield 56 Posted September 12, 2025 Author Posted September 12, 2025 Well it was fine on the plane so I’m okay with that but please let me know what my server or I need to do in future!
