emby debian library permission

Hello, I attempt to setup an emby server on debian (under Ugreen UGOS with the debian package), but I have problems to the permission for emby on the /volume1/video folder. Emby has no access to the /volume1/video folder. This I tried already, but no success:

- add emby to the (for example) media group (which i created in UGOS) and give media group permissions to video folder
- take ownershop of the /volume1/video folder (owner emby)
- set manual acl to emby user on /volume1/video folder

for now the only thing that is working, to set chmod 777 on /volume1/video folder. But when I change permission on UGOS, this setting is gone. Any ideas? Thank you.

Hi, did you take a look at the advice here?

Hello,

yes I found this before, but nothing helped. When I check permission on the video folder, emby has read access to the video folder. But still, cannot add library in emby.

Run this 3 commands on emby library folder:

sudo setfacl -m u:emby:rwx /embyfolder
sudo setfacl -R -m u:emby:rwx /embyfolder
sudo setfacl -R -d -m u:emby:rwx /embyfolder

You have to fix permissions on all folders leading to final folder......

I used your commands, no luck. Only when i use chmod 777 on the video folder it works, until i change permission via ugreen ugos, then these changes are gone
