In the overall spirit of emby.  Is there plans to make things such as podcasts, strm, and other online stream formats downloadable and saved in an organized fashion for offline use ?

Hi, aren't there already download buttons?

I'm probably doing this wrong.

I've created a filter using group title 'vod', and I'm seeing this:

Example: I don't want to see Albania or Arabic.

How do I exclude these?

Does this help? You just tap the filter at the bottom, and add more conditions

Okay, great! That's very good (because then it's not my fault :D )

BBC streams now working in the browser :)

Still crashes the android app but I guess that'll be fixed in the future

Only added 1 movie group, and notice a couple of mis-identifications.

Is this something we are going to have to fix manually?

Hi, it would be the same as if you created a movie library with those kinds of file names. If the names in the m3u are really bad, then you might not want to use the internet metadata features.

If the titles are in Spanish, you need to set the metadata language to Spanish!

I think I could live with that. At least the posters are right and make the library look nice (pulled from the m3u) and I could still search by the title

Spoiler

But these movies are multi-language. I would have liked the metadata in English.

If I was to set it to Spanish, I have a feeling it would mess the rest up, plus I can't read Spanish...lol

Correct. But the identification will be much better when the titles are in Spanish.

What I had already though about is to add a list of strings to the configuration for cleanup. There you could enter things like "[MULTI-SUB]" and then they would get removed from the titles.

You could probably also set Spanish - refresh Metadata - set back to English - refresh Metadata, because the identifications don't go away IIRC.

Tried in Spanish, but now some of the titles are in Spanish, so apart from the movie image, I wouldn't know what film it was and definitely wouldn't be able to search for it

Tried that, partly worked, but some of the movies titles are still in Spanish. Might have to try and refresh again.

Noticed a missing function - not important for me, but may be for others. When content is added to the library, I'm not getting any notifications of new content

You can use the DataExplorer plugin. It allows you to view the available metadata for individual items from the available metadata providers and you can switch the language to view the results for different languages.

Sounds a good idea for a small library, but as I add other groups, the library is going to get quite big (1000s).

But thanks to you and Luke, I have a few directions I can go in.

Just need to play with it more and decide what's more important relating to info for the content

I am a little confused, you basically say the opposite here?

For example, when you use media sources from German public TV (like from the Streamfeeds site, you get metadata for much more content when setting the metadata language tio English.

Oh hell, that was a plain typo. I've fixed it in that post. Of course you get better metadate when setting it to the language of the titles in the source.

Thanks for spotting this!

We still have a number of things to go.

For metadata, it's the ability to configure the providers. At the moment, only the default providers for each media type are enabled (like when you create a new library for that type), which is quite limiting. Creating a dialog for this configuration is a bit of work. I'm thinking about an interim option like "Enable all providers for each type"...

1. More or less copy the view for a podcast from the view of an audiobook in the library. It only needs minor tweaks to be perfect:

- 1.1 Need to be able to mark episodes as listened to

- 1.2 Ability to choose between newest to oldest or oldest to newest sorting of episodes (chapters, if it was an audiobook)

- 1.3 Ability to hide episodes already listened to

@howllor - You mean like that?
