Use the FilterBuilder. You can find more about it earlier in this conversation. Just skim through the posts I made, ignore all others.

That's how it should look like:

So, I have imported the tv shows from my provider's m3u file and selected to show channel groups. When I go to webstream library and enter tv shows, I do see groups, but when I select any group, I am shown tv shows at the episode level, not show level.

I was hoping it would look like my TVShow library, where it shows it at show level, then seasons, then episodes.

I don't know if it has anything to do with my provider having each episode as its own channel.

Is there anything that can be done about this?

Hi,  I am a new user trying the plugin for series and getting a strange result.  The names of all the series start with a c:\x:\Series

This is the entry from the M3U file

Quote

#EXTINF:0 CUID="24569" tvg-name="D+ - 9-1-1: Lone Star (US) S01 E01" tvg-logo="https://image.tmdb.org/t/p/w154/mrzE6bXc8g9NQd8IBKB25louWq8.jpg" group-title="DISNEY+ EU SERIES",D+ - 9-1-1: Lone Star (US) S01 E01

This is how it looks in emby.  Any help greatly appreciated

You need zo use the plugin dll that I've posted earlier in this topic. The plugin in the catalog it broken in many ways, unfortunately.

Bummer, tried it same thing.  Its strange as emby is a linux server so there is no concept of c or x drive.

Thanks again

Let's check whether you really have the right plugin. Do you see the "Quick Add" button?

Ok let's start with debugging this down :D, easy  i don't have stress.
I uninstalled it.
Emby: 4.9.1.90

But i only can get this version or one older version:

image.png.d4256f78dd7e6bf01a4f0c4db918a3a4.png

Then it looks like this:

So no quick source...

4.9.1.36 is latest version, but has to be installed manually. The dll file is in one of the post

Ok now i got it.

So i add: https://edge03.stream.radioarabella.de/radioarabella-90er/stream/mp3 with the function "Quick add Source".

I recieve this after a moment:

Yes I have an nginx reverse proxy in front of emby.

I think this the log you want:

2025-11-23 09:39:09.302 Info ServerConfigurationManager: Saving system configuration

204 error?!? It think there is the problem...

I had to do a second attempt to catch this log from nginx, just if you ask yourself because of the time difference.

@gillmacca01

M3U files are not an official standard and there a many differences between such files that you can find out in the wild. Development hat started during the initial TVnext beta where the testers had (thankfully!) provided all theit accounts/urls for testing, without which the plugin wouldn't have been possible (plus many others from which I had gotten access to additional source files).
Getting TV episodes presented in a series > season > episode grouping with proper metadata, so it shows up like local series has always been the most challenging part by far and most of the effort has gone into this. It is working pretty well for many cases, but it's not perfect - obviously, as it has been publicly released just very recently and we're still in need for more sample cases and sample data in order to improve this.
The bottom line is that without seeing the data source, I can't give any other advice than @Lukehas given already (even though it's simple and obvious, but some times it's still those simple things...)

Three options from here:

  • I look at your data
If you don't feel too uncomfortable about it, you can share your data source with me
(we always keep user data strictly confidential, but in this specific case of m3u sources, it's directly  private-to-private, not even shared with the team or anybody else inside and outside of Emby)
=> This will give you a quick and accurate answer

  • We look both at the same public data
You can try to set up with one of the sources from here: https://streamfeeds.github.io/web/index.html and see how far you get. If not, then I'll be able to provide the ecact steps to get it set up.
=> You might learn something from it
=> You'd have a reference to which you can compare your own data and find out what's different

  • Wait until it gets fixed due to another case
As long as your data isn't self-built, it may happen at some point that somebody has the same problem, where we work on fixing it.
At some point, your case might get resolved automatically.

Thanks

No, I used the first option, because if I choose metadata, it might identify tv shows wrong as I found with movies (because of the way they are named)
