Natelanxon 27 Posted September 6, 2025 Posted September 6, 2025 Hi. I’m at a relative’s house. They have gigabit fibre and an Apple TV connected via WIFi that streams from my Emby server at home, which also has a gigabit connection (up and down). However, I cannot stream at my relative’s house above 10-20Mbps. This makes playing 4K content impossible. The issue isn’t my server’s internet, which is uploading at about 950Mbps. My relative’s internet gets 970Mbps down. The Apple TV here gets about 400Mbps on Wi-Fi. Doing a Speedtest within Infuse shows Emby files able to stream at about 10-20Mbps, which explains why a 30Mbps 4K video wouldn’t stream properly in the Emby official app. There seems to be some specific reason why Emby and Infuse can’t stream quickly enough from my server, even though the Apple TV here has a connection more than capable and my Emby server at home has an upload speed also far in excess of what’s required. What can I do to diagnose this problem? thanks!!
