Home page not working after update

I recently updated my docker instance to emby 4.8.11 and something very weird happened; If I navigate through the home page, it sees the libraries, but they are all empty.

If instead I go to favourites or search, I can find everything, my whole library, and refreshing metadata goes fine.

Is there a way to force a "rebuild" of the home page? It seems it got broken in the update. This happens both on firefox and on the Fire TV (Android version) and I already tried purging cache and all.

Hi, what version did you update from, do you know?

It was from 4.5.4 if I recall correctly.

it was 4.5.4.0 to be precise, I checked

so what are my options? Is there a way I can recover a functional home page or should I consider a clean install?

Well since you jumped 4.6 - 4.7 and current is now 4.8.

And I suspect that 4.9 will drop in the near future  ( Luke's words )

I would start fresh.

ok, I knew that updating something that worked was a bad idea... I will see if my motivation to stay with emby is stronger than starting over with something else...

Apologies for the disruption, and thank you for staying with 4.5.4 for so long.

The reality is that so many advancements have come since then that a fresh database will likely lead to better performance anyway, so hopefully you will take that into consideration.

yeah you know, I'm an engineer, I live by the mantra "don't fix what ain't broken". If I decide to start over, I will probably never update it again in the future.

I stayed with 4.5 so long simply because I didn't use the server for a long time.

Please let us know how things go. Thanks.

it seems to work now; it took a while to reload all libraries, but let's see how it goes from now on

Not knowing how long you waited after your update I would suspect a complete rebuild was happening as there are a large number of changes that have happened since then per each major release.
