mlapoint 10 Posted September 5, 2025 Posted September 5, 2025 Emby Server Pop_os 22.04 LTS It is a Ubuntu clone made by System76 NAS Synology 1522+ with NFS enabled Problem When I run "Scan Library Files", it does not find any of the movies, tv shows, etc. What I have done to fix thie issue I have properly setup NFS mounting and can see the files if I go to /mnt/media/movies in the terminal. I have setup permissions on the shared folders as "Read/Write" for all of the users. Why this is happening now This all worked great until about 6 months ago when I purchased and installed a new router. The new router changed the IP addresses from xxx.xxx.1.x to xxx.xxx.50.x. The NAS is now on xxx.xxx.50.x so I had to re-hookup everything. Emby is the last thing I have and have not been able to get it working properly since then. Thank You, Mike LaPointe
mlapoint 10 Posted September 5, 2025 Author Posted September 5, 2025 Ok, forget this, I found out the I just need to re-add the directories and it works.
Luke 42077 Posted September 6, 2025 Posted September 6, 2025 Hi, where did you re add the directories to? Do you mean Emby library setup?
mlapoint 10 Posted September 7, 2025 Author Posted September 7, 2025 Yes, apparently when the IP Address changes, emby doesn't remember where the movies are. I just deleted the address of all of my directories and re-added them.
mlapoint 10 Posted September 7, 2025 Author Posted September 7, 2025 The ones of my NAS. They were xxx.xxx.1.xxx and they changed to xxx.xxx.50.xxx.

mlapoint 10 Posted September 9, 2025 Author Posted September 9, 2025 No, but it is in the fstab file mounting file.
Luke 42077 Posted September 9, 2025 Posted September 9, 2025 OK thanks for the info. We'll take a look.
