Export Live TV as M3U

A way that Luke and the emby coders could please everyone would be very easy, in the emby server settings have a place where you could click a button that said 'export emby as m3u'. This way having your entire emby server media in m3u format including live tv with your complete tv guide to then put in a hird party app like tivimate would make everyone chill the heck out

Emby would then gain even more client base from people wanting a server setup as easy as emby to config all your media and watch it on an m3u iptv player, imagine how cool that would be. I had tivimate for years and never use it but if I could load my own movies & shows on demand to it I would use it and so would thousands of other people just for that simple reason.

I'm not a live tv fan but I know a lot of you guys are from reading this thread and is not hard to tell you guys are upset so maybe just put this at the top of your list and get it over with to please your client base of customers. Work on making emby export to m3u with the click of a tab inside emby server and kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Clients happy + more customers.

Also I bet a lot of you guys who use m3u convert to .strm just so you have all your media under one roof so imagine having the option to use both methods. Emby is great but how great is it if you have a bunch of people that are pissed off that have been here thick & thin with emby since day 1. My advice is put the people first and the excuses last and make this happen and redeem yourselves from happy customers

You would still have full control through emby server, amount of connects per user, m3u would still have login at the beginning long as you set it like that.

Not that hard to do, export it like a regular m3u http://emby.media:8096/get.php?username=emby&password=password&type=m3u_plus&output=mpegts

Same way that Xtreme UI does it except instead of loading from an external hard drive into the Xtreme codes ui your going through your own emby media server. Emby can be a also a VOD server and even an xmltv server and charge even more per month to export as an m3u with tv guide included emby easily can charge $12 a month extra for the m3u service. I would pay it, live tv and movies & series on demand damn right I would pay $12 extra a month if it worked that I could watch my emby server on a tivimate subscription.

If you can have emby as your main all in one media server and export an m3u which everything supports and can play you bet your arse people will pay money for that, it solves everyones problems and if emby doesn't soon do it some other company will come along and do it guaranteed.

I do use emby to watch our media my entire family does also I'm just saying an m3u would be nice that's all.
