le_paulo 0 Posted September 3, 2025 Posted September 3, 2025 (edited) I've tried to set up Emby Guide Data sources and see only 1 day's worth of EPG. I don't get what I'm meant to do with the drop-down menu with all the source providers - do I add all of them for each country? With the Emby GBR-1010371-DEFAULT and GBR-1010374-DEFAULT and GBR-1000013-DEFAULT as examples, I only see about a day or less of EPG data for the major UK stations such as BBC and Channel 4. Is that normal? Same for US stations. Refreshing multiple times, removing and re-adding the m3u source and EPG sources makes no difference. I'm a recently joined premiere account. I assume the following set-up is OK? Edited September 3, 2025 by le_paulo
Luke 42077 Posted September 3, 2025 Posted September 3, 2025 HI, the advanced tab of live tv setup has an option about the number of guide days. what is that set to? Try setting that to 7.
le_paulo 0 Posted September 4, 2025 Author Posted September 4, 2025 Hi Luke - it's been set at 8 days for a while but I brought it back to 7 - no difference. I'm getting my m3u feed from Dispatcharr. I've tried adding HDHR tuners instead - no difference. I've tried different tails in the feed. No difference. I also tried public EPG feeds and that didn't improve things either. None of the Emby EPG feeds gives me anything now. Completely blank EPG. Re-adding the Dispatcharr EPG feed gives me the day's EPG but nothing more. Channel mapping seems to be fine:
Luke 42077 Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 And what makes you think you're only getting one day?
le_paulo 0 Posted September 4, 2025 Author Posted September 4, 2025 I wish it was more than today's EPG but it's not - here's today's EPG and tomorrow's - all days into the future are blank...
le_paulo 0 Posted September 4, 2025 Author Posted September 4, 2025 (edited) @Luke - I found a workaround by manually choosing EPG per channel - unfortunately, the system couldn't find associated EPGs using tpg-id data included in the stream url so I had to manually scroll through the list of channels to find something that looked similar. The Emby feeds had the full week of data so no problem there - the issue seems to be that the Emby EPG feeds didn't line up with the tpg-ids associated with my streams so obviously no data was going to be pulled into the EPG that way. Once I found a relevant EPG feed for each channel and hooked it up to the associated stream, the EPG content for the week showed up. I don't know if the EPG data matches the location for the streams so my next job is to go through each one and validate them. It's not pretty or efficient but at least it works and hopefully I'll only have to do this once! Thanks for jumping in so quickly - appreciate it. Edited September 4, 2025 by le_paulo
