Download feature not working

This seems like a common problem going back years. I'm having the same problem. When I searched the phrase "emby download ready to transfer", I see so many threads complaining about this yet it doesn't seem fixed. When will this be resolved? Will it ever?

I'm on the most recent android app. All files I'm trying to download gets stuck at ready to transfer. I tried doubling up download, download at original, but nothing worked. I think when I restarted the app and then pasued and resumed download from notification, it seems to be working. Or at least the progress bar seems to be moving right now. Will I have to do this to download it every time?

Tried with 3 movies right now from latest stable server to android .93 beta, worked right away.
