Looking to hire a plugin dev...

I am looking to pay someone to make me a simple metadata plugin for book and audio book libraries using the Google Books API. It should be straight forward and the only config option needed is the ability for me to paste my own private API key generated from my Google Dev Console.

It needs to run on 4.9.1.x and you do not have to worry about submitting it to the plugin store and maintaining the plugin.

Okay, so it does not look like there is any interest in someone taking on this gig, and that's okay. Not mad at all... not everyone share the same passions

That being said I am hopeful that maybe one of y'all might be able to point me in the right direction. I was thinking of going to Guru or Upwork to find a dev (and there is a good chance that will work out) but I would think the development would be easier from someone who knows Emby and I doubt I will get that lucky. That's when I had the idea of checking the JF community as it is just a fork of Emby. Is that a good idea y'all think, or should I just move on to Guru and Upwork?

Colin, thx for the offer and while I am still willing to pay someone to do the work, for my own mental health I have decided to step away from this project.

That being said, the purpose and feature set is pretty straight forward that if you wanted to do it on your own (I may... or may not... be mentally ready to help test) then I would most certainly throw $50 a month into a KoFi or something for at least a few months. I would throw it all in at once but I do live paycheck to paycheck and am trying to save a few bucks this month as I will be in San Diego next weekend for TwitchCon.

Not saying its bad or anything but I suspect that this account is not your main account (and I get it, you dont want to advertise that you do this kind of work from your main account), maybe because you know that money will be sent I will find out some info (like the name Colin) that you dont want to have associated with your main account here that you have worked hard to keep anonymous or that possibly someone from the community saw this and thought "I have a buddy who can do it" so they told you to create an account here and hit me up. All of those are perfectly valid and even smart reasons to create a new account here but I am sure you can understand because of that my hesitance be like "Here is some $$$, let me know how you get on!!" (I am just using that as example, not saying you would demand all $$$ upfront).

Anywho... as I said I am still wanting this plugin but not sure I can be "that guy" to help you along the way is all.


All that being said, I do want to say thank you so very much!! Even if we dont work together the offer alone is more progress I have gotten over the 9 years I have struggled with Emby and Audiobooks.
