hhb97b 11 Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 (edited) Hi I have some challenges with the new app, which I need help with 1. The video player the pixel mapping is not 1:1, which result in a blurry image. I'm using a 4k tv and checkboard pattern to verify my result. 2. The title bar is not going a way after the app is started. It’s there when looking for movie to see and while playing the movie. Its distracting. I have read the thread and I’m also a tinkler and I would also like a solution for change settings in mpv or external application. I also a developer, so I understand what possible and what is maintainable. I just interested in a solution and understand I'm on my own when making these kind of changes. For me this is the DNA og mediabrowser/emby. I have been using the product since it was called mediabrowser and incorporated into VMC. I have been using the old Theater app and still do, but the useability has been changed the last couple of days to the worse. The list views are now vertical instead of horizontal, which is the worst of it. Is there anyway of changing this back and still keep the original home screen layout/style. The home screen has also been changed. Thanks in advance Edited August 24, 2025 by hhb97b

The new app has both - a maximized and a fullscreen state. When maximized - like any other Window on Windows - you can still see the title bar and yes: naturally, there is scaling in place when the video size is equal to the screen size. You need to use the full-screen button (green) instead of the maximize button (yellow):

I have used the windows store to install the app. I found an install link in the blog news. I'm running version 2.234.2.0 1
softworkz 5066 Posted August 25, 2025 Posted August 25, 2025 (edited) There's no green button, I've just colored it for illustration. When you don't see the row, you probably have TV mode enabled (Settings >> Display >> Display Mode). In TV mode, there's no such row, because the app is expected to be full-screeen anyway (most of the time = no need to switch frequently). Edited August 25, 2025 by softworkz
