vincen 71 Posted August 26, 2025 Posted August 26, 2025 Hi Would someone know a good editor for metadata edition of video files that are not MKV ? I use MKVToolnix for mkv that works great but I have also some MP4, AVI, ... files that I'd like to correct. The tool needs to work in Linux. I guess I could do it with FFMPEG but it's not very easy to use in command line, would prefer if possible something more straightforward. Thanks Vincèn

Unless there is a specific reason you want to retain the .mp4 container. 1

Thanks a lot for the info, was not aware MKVToolnix could edit metadata in MP4 files and sure no problem to convert mp4 to mkv Just needs now to find the same for avi if it exists....
