Dickydodah! 154 Posted August 25, 2025 Posted August 25, 2025 The Samsung App has access to TV guide even though no tuner or Live TV library is installed. If the channel button on the remote is pressed an empty guide page is shown. This is difficult to get out of as most other buttons seem to be inactive on this screen. I did have a tuner previously installed so this may be down to part of the config not being removed when I uninstalled it. I just looked up the key mapping for Emby and also found that the web interface can also access Live TV when it is not installed by using ctrl-g. Whilst that isn't really an issue the Samsung Smart remote channel button is rather easy to accidently press and can be a pain to get out of. App version: 2.1.9 TV version: UE43KU6510
Neminem 1518 Posted August 25, 2025 Posted August 25, 2025 What happens if you turn off this on your user ? When deleting the tv tuner did you also delete the Guide data source ?
Dickydodah! 154 Posted August 25, 2025 Author Posted August 25, 2025 Live TV is turned off for all users and the Guide data was deleted. Even on a system that has never had Live TV ctrl-g brings up an empty TV guide. In the Web gui it's not really an issue as no one is going to accidently use ctrl-g but on the Samsung TV the channel button isreally easy to press by accident.
