Emby Server for Windows and using Emby TV app on Shield TV.  My family is still resistant to Emby as they do not like the interface as much as they do the XBox 360 and WCE experience.  One particular item is how recorded shows are displayed.  On XBox 360 they can list all shows by the date recorded, or grouped by the show itself.  Is there a way to list all shows in the order they recorded in more of a list view or any view?  Like it's even hard to see when a show is recorded other than like in the name of the file it mentions it in one of these year_month_day_hour_min_sec or something like that format.  Even clicking into the show itself you can't see like when it recorded easily or what channel.  So take CNN.  If I record shows over the course of the day, I get a bunch of thumbnails for each show grouping.  In that thumbnail are the individual related shows for like Kaitlin Collins or what have you.  So I click into it and now have 3 shows, not easy to see which is first.  That said, at the top level, now I have like 6 thumbnails for CNN shows but there is no way to know which one is the oldest or the newest.  Not super intuitive unless I'm missing something.

Hi, can you please show a screenshot example of what you currently see as well as what you would like to see? Thanks.

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

Thanks.

Sorry for the delay.  So I always have the standard Android app available just don't use it much.  There is a list but for example doesn't support comskip like the one built for the TV does.  That said, the phone version of the app can get close but not great.

So this is set to display when added, and list view and don't create collections.  This is further than I think I can get with the TV app.  Here's the problem.

Smerconish is recording now so shows at the top

First of all with Victor Blackwell is showing next as it was recorded before.

So that's great but now we go downhill.  You will see grouping of Young and the Restless and Bold and the Beautiful.  But wait, I didn't record all the bold and the beautiful first and then all the young and the restless.  They recorded over the course of the week one after each other.  So would expect the list to be like:

Smerconish

First of all with Victor Blackwell

Bold and the Beautiful (Friday)

Young and the Restless (Friday)

Bold and the Beautiful (Thursday)

Young and the Restless (Thursday)

... and older and older entries

Hi, you're sorting by date added of the series. There is a separate sort order of date last episode added if that's what you want.
