mtrow28 2 Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 I'm really quite frustrated. While organizing my files, I noticed one of my primary music folders was missing. I looked all over my NAS and could not find it. On checking the Emby logs, it shows that I deleted a playlist from inside Emby (which I did), and right after the playlist was deleted, the folder in question was deleted (see log screenshot). I am now in the process of trying to recover this folder with various recovery tools, but I may end up losing over 5,000 files. (say what you want about backups and the like, I simply hadn't got that far yet). I would really like to understand why this happened, as the only warning I received when deleting the playlist was that the .m3u file would be deleted. What triggered the full delete of the folder the playlist was located in? Emby Premiere Version: 4.8.11.0
Luke 42077 Posted August 21, 2025 Posted August 21, 2025 Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!
mtrow28 2 Posted August 21, 2025 Author Posted August 21, 2025 The entire log file is 33MB, with thousands of lines of log data. I really don't have the time to go through and sanitize it before uploading to a public forum. Do you have another method for secure upload?

Solution Luke 42077 Posted September 16, 2025 Solution Posted September 16, 2025 Ok this is resolved in the upcoming 4.9 server release. Apologies for the disruption. Thanks.
