Carlos57 1 Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 (edited) Hello, I can no longer access my Emby through the browser (Windows 10). I have Emby on my Synology NAS, but I can't access my Emby account through the browser. The Android app is fine; I can access my account, but I can't access it through the browser. The NAS is fine, the app is fine, but when I try to use it through Windows, it always gives me an error. One of the errors is that the Emby page cannot be accessed via QuickConnect. And I can't access the server (NAS) either. Can anyone help me resolve this issue? Thank you very much. Edited August 18, 2025 by Carlos57 I forgot to post a topic

Luke 42077 Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 Hi, what address is in the browser address bar? Try http://serverip:8096
sh0rty 717 Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 I can reach the quickconnect address without problems.
Carlos57 1 Posted August 18, 2025 Author Posted August 18, 2025 Hi Lucas, the browser can't open any pages. When I try to access QuickConnect, a window appears informing me that access is not possible. And I can't open the address you provided. Thanks.
Carlos57 1 Posted August 18, 2025 Author Posted August 18, 2025 I also tried through my ip:: 192.168.1.151
Luke 42077 Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 Are you sure Emby Server is running? How did you install it?
Carlos57 1 Posted August 19, 2025 Author Posted August 19, 2025 Hi, I think you're rushing. I don't know much about computers, and my age doesn't help either I installed Emby directly from Synology's DSM. Do you think I had to install it from a different source? Before this problem, everything was fine, but I don't know why it stopped working. The Android app is fine on two smartphones, but I don't know why this happens here on Windows. I think I'll give up; this is really complicated. Thank you P.S.: As you can see in the attached file, the Emby server appears to be running.
Carlos57 1 Posted August 19, 2025 Author Posted August 19, 2025 Just one more thing: I stopped the Emby server on the Synology and restarted it. When I tried to open it, this window appeared saying: "We're sorry, but this page can't be accessed when connecting via QuickConnect." Emby automatically opens via QuickConnect, so it can't connect. Last month, I changed my QuickConnect address. Could it be that because I made this change, Emby can't open?

Carlos57 1 Posted August 27, 2025 Author Posted August 27, 2025 Hi, I couldn't reply earlier because I was on vacation for a few days and didn't have access to my PC. I've now managed to access my Emby account in the browser. I'm not sure if it was a problem with the NAS or Emby. Either way, everything is fine now. Thanks for your support. 1
sa2000 674 Posted August 27, 2025 Posted August 27, 2025 suggest you bring your server to the current general release version 4.8.11.0 - see if it is available in the synology package center - if not - look for the package for your system here https://emby.media/download.html your test was meant to be for the actual ip address and not literaly 'serverip' but you did say you afterwards that you tried 192.168.1.151 - i presume you did try http://192.168.1.151:8096 and that this was the right local network ip address for your NAS On 19/08/2025 at 15:59, Carlos57 said: Last month, I changed my QuickConnect address. Could it be that because I made this change, Emby can't open? i have not tried this - could be. If not done already, suggest that your NAS IP Address is set as static and/or DHCP Reservation in the router.
