Introduce Algoritm

Currently, when I play a piece of music, Emby then continues playing music that was recently played, playing continuously. I'd love to see some kind of algorithm for this, like YouTube does with continuous play.

For example, if a song in your own language is played, does the algorithm combine them in a fun way

at least if continuous playback is not based only on previously played items

This would be an interesting feature when the uses plays a single media entry ór reached the end of a playlist. The algorithm could determine the next x-amount of songs, based on the previous y-amount of songs..

I like this, this is interesting, especially because YouTube Music does this excellently and I'm a big fan of how they approach this.

YouTube music has a ridiculous amount of data about a ridiculous number of people, and a ridiculous amount of music. Emby lacks, and should continue to lack, that.

Am I right in understanding that you mean that Emby could only do this by combining data from other users?

This would, of course, be done individually (on your own server).

The more data you have, the better these algorithms can be. One based only on one person's Emby data would be terrible.

Maybe it can be done by sending anonymous data around? Where you as a user can choose to participate in the algorithm or not (by default it is enabled). @devs maybe a peer-to-peer connection. I honestly don't know how safe/secure it is.

Most users do not have massive libraries. I would think that we could just auto mix tracks with similar genres and the results would not be that much different from using an external service.
