Emby Becoming Inaccessible Suddenly and Requires Close and Open

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I'm running on a windows 11 VM. Has been untouched for over a year, and all the sudden yesterday it will not stay accessible.

When it starts, everything is fine, but after a couple hours, it will become inaccessible. If I try to access the localhost site from the same computer it can't connect to the server.

Using the Restart Emby also doesn't do anything. The application is still running, and I have to do Exit and then start it.

Attached are logs. I'm going to disable download subtitles and see what happens.

Thanks! Didn't notice I grabbed the non-anonymized file. Uploaded new version. I use cloudflare and don't see any traffic coming from that IP, but there was 1 coming from France with a similar amount of attempts.

I setup some additional rules to block stuff.

It looks like someone was trying to probe your ip address for openings, so that's what those requests were. You might consider using a non-default router port for remote access.
