Emby App for XBOX Series X won't launch

I have my Emby server up and running, and it works on the web and my NVIDIA Shield Pro without any issues. However, after I install the Emby client on my XBOX, it gets stuck on the Ready to Launch screen despite me clicking on the go button.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared the cache, and rebooted, but nothing works. The app stays on this screen every time. Has anyone else had this problem with the XBOX Series X?

Have you tried to reboot or launch the app a second time after this?

Which Xbox model do you have?

Yes I have done all those things 3 times already. Also as mentioned it is Xbox series x.

Yea, sorry, on my screen, the x is wrapped to a new line, hence didn't notice.

 

What I can say is that this has never been reported before. The known issue is that sometimes you cannot control the app with the gamepad - only after hittiing one of the small buttons in the center and then going back (B button).

What exactly happens when you confirm the GO! button?

For me, when you click GO! it just makes a noise like you selected it and doesn't do anything.

If I click around blindly I can tell it is doing something back there because I can randomly get into a input field and the keyboard will come up but I can't see what I am doing since this screen is on top.

After reinstalling, relaunching and restarting the Xbox multiple times the app eventually launched to the form to add a server.  Something is up with that 'Ready to launch' screen where it either gets stuck, or just doesn't disappear like it should and stays on top of everything so you can't see.  This is only on initial setup also, once you get a server in you never see that screen again.

Are you using a remote by any chance? I also faced this issue. Pressing OK button on my remote did nothing. Swapped to a controller and pressed A and it worked.
