Well -

a) I'm rubbish at css, hence why folks like Happy2Play are kind enough to help out

b)In Firefox I click F12 and in Inspect search for homeSectionsContainer and it does appear on the Home page at all, but does appear on the Favorites page. Is that as intended ?

Right OK it's on the wrong tab.

Thanks for putting back. Not getting very far though. Just wondering if it should be the same as before or not. For example the css that worked also used things like sections and section0 (see post #4 above).

Also, can the homesections.js file be available again ? Thanks.

No, that's all been reworked to pave the way for new features that will be coming.

Hokey dokey. Hoping new features will include being able to increase the number of items under Latest Movies, for example, beyond 16 (or a feeble 12 in the new Android app).

Still looking for this as it looks like Latest is 12.

Section numbesr have been removed completely and are all the same pretty much except liveTVButtonSection.

So in the end you will have to do what I mentioned previously with div:nth-child(n) for the specific sections.

I've done this so far, mostly cause I gave up on child things - feel free to tell me its the wrong way to do stuff, methodical I ain't -

Add logo before My Media -

/* Replace with...and try to exclude music library and live tv programs and schedule */
div.scrollSlider.flex-grow.padded-top-page.sections.scrollSliderY.verticalSections:not(div.focuscontainer-x.view-music-music .scrollSlider):not(div.focuscontainer-x.view-livetv-livetv .scrollSlider)::before {
    content: '';
    display: block;
    background-image: url(https://image.tmdb.org/t/p/w1280/s4Bf2L7O5JQXbwUedjquAWYNDXg.png);
    width: 30%;
    margin: 1em auto 0 auto;
    height: 16em;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-size: contain;
    background-position: center;}

Stop My Media wrapping -

/* Replace with - too general ? */
div.scrollSlider.focusable.itemsContainer {
    flex-wrap: nowrap;
}

Move My Media down so as to see backdrop and logo -

/* Replace with...and try to exclude Music library and live tv programs and schedule */
div.scrollSlider.flex-grow.padded-top-page.sections.scrollSliderY.verticalSections:not(div.focuscontainer-x.view-music-music .scrollSlider):not(div.focuscontainer-x.view-livetv-livetv .scrollSlider) {
    position: relative;
    top: 56em;
    background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);
}

Add the backdrop -

/* Alien */
div.view-home-home {background-image: url("https://wallpapercave.com/wp/wp11259304.jpg");background-size: cover;}

The only thing is it adds this to the Home page for both Home and Favorites - it didn't do Favorites before, but I'll survive. It looks virtually the same as in post #3 on page 1 of this thread.

Also, in homesections.js, I upped Latest whatever to 64. It was great. If it ain't broke (too much)...

So are you wanting only Home Screen?

/* Replace with - too general ? */
div.view-home-home .homeSectionsContainer .itemsContainer {
	flex-wrap: nowrap;
}

/* Replace with...and try to exclude music library and live tv programs and schedule */
div.view-home-home .homeSectionsContainer .verticalSections::before {
	content: '';
	display: block;
	background-image: url(https://image.tmdb.org/t/p/w1280/s4Bf2L7O5JQXbwUedjquAWYNDXg.png);
	width: 30%;
	margin: 1em auto 0 auto;
	height: 16em;
	background-repeat: no-repeat;
	background-size: contain;
	background-position: center;}

/* Replace with...and try to exclude Music library and live tv programs and schedule */
div.view-home-home .homeSectionsContainer .verticalSections {
	position: relative;
	top: 56em;
	background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);
}

/* Alien */
div.view-home-home .homeSectionsContainer {background-image: url("https://wallpapercave.com/wp/wp11259304.jpg");background-size: cover;}

Can't decide, but really appreciate the solution for home screen and general simplification.
