arrbee99 1814 Posted August 15, 2025 Author Posted August 15, 2025 Well (if its an Emby thing), I had the My Media row set to not wrap, My Media pushed down the page to show a picture behind it from a web page. Also there was a name to go with the picture added before My Media. Now My Media wraps, there is no space above My Media and no name to go with the image. so it was like this - and they used css including homeSectionsContainer and section0
arrbee99 1814 Posted August 15, 2025 Author Posted August 15, 2025 eg /* Move My Media down to show 1 row and add grey background HAPPY2PLAY */ .homeSectionsContainer { position: relative; top: 56em; background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); } /* Add logo to match background image on home page */ .sections.homeSectionsContainer::before { content: ''; display: block; background-image: url(https://www.pngall.com/wp-content/uploads/13/Harry-Potter-Logo-PNG-Pic.png); width: 80%; margin: 1em auto 0 auto; height: 16em; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-size: contain; background-position: center; } and /* Make My Media not wrap */ div.homeSectionsContainer div.section0 div.scrollSlider { flex-wrap: nowrap; }
Neminem 1516 Posted August 15, 2025 Posted August 15, 2025 Do you get a arrow when mousing over the row ? If I zoom 125% i get that arrow.
arrbee99 1814 Posted August 15, 2025 Author Posted August 15, 2025 Zoom where ? At the moment I have - Winows set to System Display Scale 125% Firefox zoom set to 150% Emby css My Media to 118% i.e. - /* Increase My Media image size */ div.homeSectionsContainer div.section0 div.scrollSlider {width: 118%;} though as you can see, thats another homeSectionsContainer thing.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted August 15, 2025 Posted August 15, 2025 System scaling will affect resolution here also. What server version as the element is going way in next release (4.9.x.x)?
arrbee99 1814 Posted August 15, 2025 Author Posted August 15, 2025 Its the latest beta .18. Don't know why anything has to go away when its fine like it is.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted August 16, 2025 Posted August 16, 2025 (edited) CSS is always changing per release. Just like it looks like section0 is gone also. So .HomeSectionscontainer will be .view-home-home with the new issue of trying to be specific on sections as I don't really see a way right now besides something like first-child (div:nth-child(1)). The fun of reworking all css when you notice it no longer works. So something like this div.view-home-home div div:nth-child(1) div.scrollSlider {width: 118%;} Edited August 16, 2025 by Happy2Play added update

arrbee99 1814 Posted August 16, 2025 Author Posted August 16, 2025 The old stuff that now doesn't work or the new which I'm, so far, incapable of getting to work ? 1

arrbee99 1814 Posted August 16, 2025 Author Posted August 16, 2025 Hope you're not in a rush then. I'm sure I'll be begging Happy2Play for help (again) soon enough... 1
Luke 42077 Posted August 16, 2025 Posted August 16, 2025 I think it might just have a different class name because lots of screens are using the same rendering now.

As you can tell I know nothing about css which is why I think people are kind enough to help, so do you mean you might give My Media a different class name in the future, or something else ?
arrbee99 1814 Posted August 17, 2025 Author Posted August 17, 2025 The closest I've got so far is using - /* Move My Media down to show 1 row and add grey background HAPPY2PLAY */ div.view-home-home div div:first-child div.verticalSection { position: relative; top: 56em; background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); } /* Make My Media not wrap */ div.view-home-home div div:nth-child(1) div.scrollSlider {flex-wrap: nowrap;} /* Add logo to match background image on home page */ div.view-home-home div div:first-child div.verticalSection::before { content: ''; display: block; background-image: url(https://www.pngall.com/wp-content/uploads/13/Harry-Potter-Logo-PNG-Pic.png); width: 80%; margin: 1em auto 0 auto; height: 16em; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-size: contain; background-position: center; } but don't think the child thing works cause I get Harry Potter almost everywhere and not just at the top - and
Luke 42077 Posted August 17, 2025 Posted August 17, 2025 I will just add back the homeSectionsContainer class. 2

arrbee99 1814 Posted August 21, 2025 Author Posted August 21, 2025 Well, I've commented out the css I was trying to use to replace the homeSections stuff and the previous homeSections stuff that was commented out should now be working again, but still looks unfixed (compared to Alien above). Should be the same as post#4 above - But it does do something to Favorites for some reason -
Luke 42077 Posted August 21, 2025 Posted August 21, 2025 I think your css will just have to adjust to the new markup. It’s not radically different but there are some changes in order to pave the way for new features.
arrbee99 1814 Posted August 21, 2025 Author Posted August 21, 2025 I shall try to do so. Hopefully its still possible to do the same thing. I couldn't spot anything homeSections related so far... Any hints maybe please ?
