SAMSUNG update in the store not up to date

I am currently testing emby on my S95C and have read that version 2.1.5 is available, but despite automatic updates I only have 2.1.0 installed. When can I expect the latest version?

 

And how can I understand the USB installation and the 30 days? Or what changes for me if I install it via USB, can I still get updates from the Samsung store?

Hi, when we submit and  then when it gets through Samsung review. The store version will always be a little behind the usb build.

The USB app expires 30 days after it is built, so depending on when you first install it, it will expire in less than 30 days, but after that, about every 30 days it will need an update.  Sometimes you can install over the top, but generally best to uninstall the USB version then reinstall the updated USB.

Yes, I believe you can have the store and USB versions installed at the same time.

Keep in mind that just because the version number changes, it doesn't mean that there is much that has functionally changed in the app.  For example, every USB build increases the version number, but the build may be just to reset the expiry date for another 30 days.  The app is fairly stable now, there are few if any fixes required. There is generally just the feature updates that flow through.  Unless you urgently want to use a new feature, it's often easiest just to wait for the store update.
