Amazon Fire TV - Emby app hangs on TV power on

I am newly Emby Premier user (coming from plex) and I have noticed a strange behavior when using the emby app on Amazon Fire TV (see image for model). 

If I am watching a movie or TV show and decide to turn off my TV, cause I am tired or need to leave, etc.. and I come back after a bit, turn on TV and emby again. The app starts but automatically pursues the movie/show I was watching and hangs after a second or 2. I am unable to use my TV,  turn off, click on home, etc… I have to wait a solid 5 minutes for the app to crash and get booted to the TV’s home screen OR I can unplug my TV.

TV is up to date and the Emby app is showing up to date as well.

I have 5 other TVs and 2 mobiles (iPhone)

2 TVs are Roku (no issue) 3 other TVs run the fire stick (no issues) and iPhone app is fine.

I am beginning to think it is TV specific (model or OS) and the TV does not close the app when turned off…

Has anyone experienced similar issues ?

I'm facing same issue with both Emby for Fire TV and Android.

It's simply annoying.
