brothom 177 Posted August 11, 2025 Posted August 11, 2025 I couldn't find a request like this so here goes. When working on large libraries, media folders or seasons/collections users tend to immediately want to view the new stuff but quickly realise "things are missing" and contact the system administrator. I was wondering if it's an idea to add a publish/unpublish method to media items or maybe even entire folders / playlists / collections. This way items can be "unpublished" (hidden from normal users) or "published" (visible) via a server setting, so that when someone is working on them or new media is being added / enriched an admin do work on them and "publish" when done. 1
sydlexius 297 Posted August 11, 2025 Posted August 11, 2025 This isn't Emby-specific, but in other solutions I make use of tags like "in-progress" and deny access to regular users any content that has such a tag. Perhaps you can setup parental controls for your users to leverage this sort of workflow?

I was considering using my "Coming soon" tags again for this it just seems too much of a hassle and a workaround but yes that's sort of how I'm doing it now but it would be nice to have a native solution that isn't a workaround.
