Hi,

I m using Emby (premiere) since few months now on a Synology DS1819+ running Emby Version 4.8.11.0

Emby is accessing several repository on my NAS part of the media Library: TV shows, Anims, concerts, and movies. Every night, the repositories are scanned to check is anything new is present (planned task).

Everything is stable except the movies. All my movies where there yesterday, and today, it"s empty until the next scan. And when the next scan will be performed, the few fixes I did on some misrecognized movies will be lost.

All repositories are in the same Drive on the NAS, accesses granted are perfectly fine. This NAS is not running anything else.

Logs:

embyserver-63890425532.txt

Screens:

Seems ok (Films = Movies)

But, nothing inside:

Any ideas of the issue is welcomes, I m a bit bored by this random issue.

Looks like you have a permissions issue.

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '/volume1/video' is denied.
	 ---> System.IO.IOException: Permission denied

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '/volume1/NetBackup' is denied.
	 ---> System.IO.IOException: Permission denied

Thanks, it s possible even if I cant understand, as Volume1/video is the one hosting everything (movies, tv show, ...)... As said, the issue is random and impact only the movie part when it happens 🧐

Netbackup, should not be accessed by emby anyway. I even dont understand why it s trying to access it

It's not on it's own. It's from when you were browsing around with the directory picker.

Hi, then why setup your libraries with smb paths?

Weird... I configured all directories manually.

good catch, initially it was installed on another Syno and I just export/import the conf. I totally forgot that point has it is working, except this random issue on this particular folder...

Just looking at the conf, the emby user is well configured to read all folders even using smb. I will change the conf tomorrow to use local paths.
