Mister Steve 30 Posted August 9, 2025 Posted August 9, 2025 I no longer have Live TV and have removed the setup data, yet Emby still runs tasks to try to refresh the guide and start recordings: 2025-08-09 00:39:55.399 Info LiveTvManager: Refreshing guide with 7 days of guide data 2025-08-09 00:39:55.435 Info LiveTV: Creating recording timer for 938495cca723d0a65364e2accdd8171, Not Worth Your Time to Watch. Timer will fire in 3500.076071955 minutes How can I prevent LiveTV tasks from running? Thanks
Luke 42077 Posted August 9, 2025 Posted August 9, 2025 Hi. You might just need to delete scheduled recordings. That’s all you need to do.
Mister Steve 30 Posted August 9, 2025 Author Posted August 9, 2025 I cannot find an option to delete scheduled recordings, or any options related to DVR and recordings. Maybe these options disappeared when I removed the TV source.
Luke 42077 Posted August 9, 2025 Posted August 9, 2025 Ok I think you are good then. The scheduled recordings obviously won’t happen.
Mister Steve 30 Posted August 10, 2025 Author Posted August 10, 2025 To clarify - I removed the TV device and related setup data months ago, yet Emby continues to try to schedule recordings. Yesterday, the "Info LiveTV: Creating recording timer..." message appears in the server log file 240 times. Emby tried to refresh guide data 13 times yesterday. How can I stop these processes from running? My system has been running out of memory and I'm trying to remove all of the unnecessary processes. Thanks
Luke 42077 Posted August 10, 2025 Posted August 10, 2025 Quote Emby tried to refresh guide data 13 times yesterday. Hi, what makes you think it tried to refresh the guide?
Luke 42077 Posted August 10, 2025 Posted August 10, 2025 Quote 2025-08-09 00:39:55.399 Info LiveTvManager: Refreshing guide with 7 days of guide data If it's just the message in the log, you can ignore it. When there are no tuners, there is nothing to do, making the task a no-op.
Mister Steve 30 Posted August 12, 2025 Author Posted August 12, 2025 @Luke I found a solution is to simply clear the livetv folder. It was full of leftover config. 1
