Changing title of album/album artist without resetting play count/favorites

Hello,

whenever I change the title or the album artist of an album, emby will reset the play count (visible in the Symfonium app) and favorite status of songs. The album will remain in the collections I've added it to, but with the old name and without any tracks. Sometimes but not always songs will be removed from playlists. This happens despite no files are moved and all albums are in separate folders and the library is set up accordingly. Is there any way to prevent this? Keeping the Musicbrainz ID does not seem to work.
