Subtitles for MKV files not showing on Mi stick

i have some .MKV TV series episodes that has an SRT files for subtitles that will not show as well as .ASS embedded subtitles for the same but only that happens on my MI stick,

when using web interface on windows or using android app on phone i have no problem showing the subtitles .

the problem is from MI stick that is used only through internal network and has no internet connection to send report 

can this be done from the emby server PC ?

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

tried to download emby only but loading very slowly and not playing videos.

but i got a work around . i have to play the video and select the subtitle and then go back and select again subtitle and start the video and again select the subtitle when the video is playing .

only then subtitle will appear.

Server version: 4.8.11.0

Mi stick with emby for android tv version 2.1.23g registered

if i changed to x264 has no problem i can see subtitles .(direct play)

i guess there is a problem while transcoding

This is not the correct application that the Devs were suggesting you try. That particular app is no longer under active development.

Search for "Emb" in the app store (without the 'Y'), you will see two results. Install the other one and see how it compares.

emby for android tv is one of these 2 apps 

the other one loads but when i try to play any movie it does not respond.

Emby for android 3.4.74
