This is my first time posting on this forum. I’ve never had trouble with Emby not showing certain tv shows till now. I have three different series that are not showing up. I’m not sure what that issue is. Not sure if it’s missing metadata or something else. The episodes for each  series are named with season and episode number and even include the episode name. Each season is in a sub folder of the series folder. I have tried to rename the episodes, tried checking metadata, removed the library multiple times and nothing is fixing the issue. I would really like to be able to add these to my library.

On another note, I have been able to see the series for one of the shows come up when building the tv shows library as in it shows it’s on the drive. When I build the library though, it doesn’t show up. Not sure what to do or if this all makes sense.

please help.

@Lukei apologize for not providing one earlier. So I have the whole golden girls series from 1985. Each episode has been placed into its corresponding sub folder by season. The episodes are all labeled by episode name and number such as S01E04 and they contain the title of that episode like S01E04 - the great debate. I do notice that certain info such as bit rate is missing from the files, but I’m not sure if that could be part of the issue. If you need more information, please advise.

thank you

Most likely the series name is not being recognised correctly - have you checked its exactly as your first metadata provider shows it, and included the date as well?

Misrecognised series may get merged with another, so appear not to show up, but are actually in the wrong place.  One way to find where these have gone is to sort the library by "date last episode added".

@pwhodgesyes. I have named the series correctly as it shows on the tv database website.

I'm pretty stumped on what is going wrong.

Have you tried adding the IMDB or TVDB ID to the folder name, to force correct recognition? The format is right at the top of the TV Naming article:

I actually figured it out. I redownloaded every show that was not showing up. Now, everything is working. Really strange.
