tedfroop21 86 Posted August 1, 2025 Posted August 1, 2025 I had separate ports set for Local and Public HTTPS ports in network settings. Sometime since 7am this morning Emby applied the external port number to BOTH port numbers, causing the server to go unresponsive from my browser links and for external users as well. No panic, I used the http port to access the server and found the problem quickly. People may have an "I didn't change anything and suddenly I have no access" problem if this is a widespread issue.

tedfroop21 86 Posted August 1, 2025 Author Posted August 1, 2025 Browser or 4 different machines, Android TV, Roku, and android app all lost https connection as well as external access did not work. I was watching Batman on my roku this morning and went to check transcoding options this afternoon and couldn't access the https on the server. Checked the server was running. Opened http page. Reset port number for https and with NO other changes everything, even external access works again.
Luke 42077 Posted August 1, 2025 Posted August 1, 2025 Did you check your server activity log for configuration changes? The server would not do that by itself.
