Trakt Scrobble Instructions

I can’t seem to get the automatic Trakt scrobbling to work. I don’t want to synchronise my library. I just want to scrabble what I’m watching. If I have two libraries - TV and Movie, do I have to enable both of those in order to scrabble items from those or do I exclude them?  I find the plugin settings unclear!  Thanks.

Sure, I am not sure what the options mean in the settings screen of the Trakt plugin.

What does Exclude Folders mean?

I’m assuming it means don’t synchronise the folders ticked?

Like I’ve said in the original question I don’t want to synchronise any folders. I just want to scrobble what I have just watched.

You need to uncheck the exclude folders boxes. Having them checked will stop the plugin from scrobbling when you're watching. You're other settings look fine. There won't be any type of auto sychronizing exept while you're watching.

Alas, scrobbling to Trakt does not work.

i have a PIN code from Trakt, I have unchecked the boxes for the Libraries I allow, and after watching the most recent episode of Star Trek, nothing has appeared in my Trakt  history for tonight.

I have had this happen on occasion when I have reinstalled the server and had to reinstll the plugin. It sometimes happens that when I do the pin number the 1st time it doesn't work. In those cases I have had to click the trakt link and do a new pin and it worked after doing that. At least it has worked for me. 

I would try that and see if it handles it for you.

Okay, I have done that and will report back tonight after watching something.

Alas, that didn’t fix it.

What can I try next or just uninstall the plugin ands go back to doing it manually?

I thought it was clear …

I’ve installed the Trakt plugin, set up the PIN code, allowed the libraries, restarted Emby, watched an episode of a TV show and nothing is scrobbling to Trakt.

That’s it … help please!
