piecesofme 3 Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 (edited) Hi, I love the flexibility that Emby offers with playlists and since we use these a lot, we’re working towards moving back to Emby full time. However, there’s one thing that’s happening that I’m trying to understand. I’m working on cleaning up some media files which have multiple versions. If a title is added to a playlist, and that title has multiple versions, if I delete one (or more) of those additional versions from the title’s folder - even though I leave a working media file that’s properly names - the entire title is removed from the playlist. I would obviously understand if I had deleted them all, or if I hadn’t left the working file in the same folder location. But none of that is what’s happening. Just cleaning up the additional files from the title’s folder removes it from the playlist altogether. Why would this be? It’s a little frustrating to have to rebuild the playlist item any time I need to clean up files. Is this expected behavior or does this sound like a glitch? Is there a way around this? Would it change things if Emby server wasn’t running when the additional files were removed? Any advice or info to help me wrap my head around this would be hugely appreciated. Thanks so much. Luke 42077 Posted October 8, 2025 Posted October 8, 2025 @piecesofmeHi, yes, because each item is technically independent this is an aspect of multi-version that we need to look at improving on. Thanks.
