ryancey 55 Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 I remote played an album on a Emby Android app sideloaded on a Android TV, from the Emby web app After a while, the transport is still sync but playing new media is just ignored (no result, no error) I have to reload the page to make it work. 2025-07-28 08:55:28.633 Info SessionManager: PlaySession 1753688900654 has gone idle while playing 2025-07-28 08:55:28.633 Info SessionManager: Playback stopped reported by app AndroidTv 3.4.74 on SHIELD playing Unnamed item. Position: unknown ms. PlaySessionId: 2025-07-28 08:55:28.633 Info SessionManager: Removed playSession 1753688900654 from session 2cca1caba34bbb000305ee330d7dbd04 Maybe the clients could use a keepalive mechanism?
Luke 42077 Posted August 1, 2025 Posted August 1, 2025 Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!
ryancey 55 Posted August 1, 2025 Author Posted August 1, 2025 The logs are in the post. I isolated what seems important, the rest was regular activity. No other mention of the playSession or session. Are you looking for something specifically? Do you already have an idea of what happens?
Luke 42077 Posted August 12, 2025 Posted August 12, 2025 Hi there, please attach the complete emby server log. Thanks.

It is flaky and doesn't happen everytime, like a lot of bugs in your software. Did you try to reproduce it? And since you didn't answer I'm asking again: are you looking for something specifically? Do you already have an idea of what happens and what I should be looking for? Anything I should try, on the top of your mind?

If you can provide the information requested that would be extremely helpful. Thanks.
ryancey 55 Posted September 4, 2025 Author Posted September 4, 2025 It cannot be tested quickly as you have to wait for the web app to become idle. Another bug that seems linked to this one: after a while, the transport disappear while the remote player is still playing. A refresh is needed, with another click to select the remote player (because a page refresh loses this information) to find the transport again. I guess you can spin two Emby instances on the same network and check by yourself.
visproduction 315 Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 (edited) Routers might have an advanced admin session time out setting. Usually this only affects Telnet or SSH. Some router brands, including Cisco set this to 20 minutes, by default. Double check your advanced router settings to make sure that is not what is causing this issue.
