Downloads runs amok

Starting downloads in this app have invariably ended in one of two situations. Absolutely nothing happens with nothing to suggest why, or it whips my phone into a frenzy that causes repeated wifi crashes, and my cpu to spin up until the whole phone is nearly too uncomfortable to touch. Sometimes the downloads then complete in a reasonable time frame, or other occasions like the current one I'm 3 days in, and it just got the last of 13 episodes downloaded as I typed this. Logging wasn't on until just now because apparently it's also set up to run amok and you have it disabled as default to prevent issues. So you get about 10 minutes worth. Maybe look  into why it's pinging my unused Chromecast so often, not sure if it's hurting but is sure can't be helping. Oh someone decided a share button was more useful than a save button for the logs so try to work without them maybe.

Also why does clearing the download complete notification STOP PLAYBACK?
