MDFWJubilee 1 Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 As the title implies. I upload files, and they will randomly not show up. Real time monitoring is enabled. They work for other folders. I've experienced this with PNG files, and video files. For the videos, uploading them a second time seemed to do the trick, after which, I was able to delete the original, and rename the file in-app. Deleting the original file and renaming it didn't solve the issue. Here's a video showing the setup, how it arbitrarily works for some files, and not for others.
Luke 42077 Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 HI there, can you please provide a specific example? How to Report a Problem Thanks !

Luke 42077 Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 OK. What folder paths are added to each library? The most likely cause is the same folders being re-used in different libraries with different content types.
MDFWJubilee 1 Posted July 26, 2025 Author Posted July 26, 2025 (edited) That's not the case, I looked into it earlier, when I was testing image support, and found out the PDFs weren't showing up. So I searched for a solution and found a comment by you, on these forums, that stated PDFs can't share folders for some reason. So everything has its own folder structure. I haven't created the PDFs folder yet. (In the emby setup, it exists in the server files, but remains unused.) MDFW Files has its own folder, set to the "home media" content type. Each game has its own sub folder under "MDFW Files", and in one case, a manga has its own sub-folder for the game, and it works fine. Edited July 26, 2025 by MDFWJubilee
Luke 42077 Posted July 27, 2025 Posted July 27, 2025 For the home videos libraries, did you enable photos on the ones that you need that for?
MDFWJubilee 1 Posted July 27, 2025 Author Posted July 27, 2025 It was seemingly enabled by default. Not only that, it's not even consistent. It works in most folders, but arbitrarily doesn't work in a few. On top of that, as I stated in my first post, I've experienced this with videos as well. In "Mixed media" and "home media" libraries.
rafinha 8 Posted July 27, 2025 Posted July 27, 2025 (edited) I noticed the same behaviour on mine but regarding movies (4.8.11.0): - Yesterday I downloaded 5 movies (nzb) - 3 of them are showing on the search ONLY, but not listed as the latest added - 2 of them are not showing at all. I have already tried to scan the Movies library, move the movie folder out of the library folder, scan, then move the movie back to the library folder again. - Today I downloaded 1 movie (torrent) - It is showing at the latest added Not sure why it is not detecting the other movies added yesterday, the files look ok, I'm able to play them manually by opening the file on VLC. Jdiesel 1431 Posted July 27, 2025 Posted July 27, 2025 What are your docker template settings? The official Emby template is incorrect and needs to have UID set to 99 and GID set to 100 otherwise you'll run into permission issues. Adding a container variable UMASK with a value of 022 might be needed too. 1
rafinha 8 Posted July 27, 2025 Posted July 27, 2025 The permissions seem to be ok qbittorrent writes using: -rw-rw-r-- 1 nobody users nzb writes using: -rwxrw-rw- 1 nobody users I tried to chmod 755 -R the movie/MovieName/ and scan again, but it does not show in the movies library.
Jdiesel 1431 Posted July 28, 2025 Posted July 28, 2025 You could try running "Docker Safe New Perms" under tools in unraid to see if it rules out any permission issues.
