I am using Emby app on the Shield TV and suddenly my watch progress and play status will not update. I can update on the android and web versions, but watching from the Shield will not update my watch progress. If I try to mark something as played manually, I receive the popup error "error setting played status". This is for all shows. At the time it happens, I don't even see anything in the logs that sticks out to me as an error and the name of the shows I tried to set as played do not show up. Attached is full logs from the web, I was attempting to set the season 3 of the show Line of Duty as watched around 18:55-18:59 and then logged in to pull the logs.

user getting this error on the app is "cierra". I also sent the logs from the shield app.

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

Thanks.

Hi.  If you use some sort of reverse proxy, that may be the culprit.

The Emby for Android on Shield TV won't even let me connect to the server... it says "unable to reach server"

I think I am using Cosmos Cloud's reverse proxy (I say I think because I believe it is built in, but I've gotten myself very confused about networking- I'm very new to the topic), but every other device and user on my local network isn't having this problem? How would I fix it if that was the issue?

Issue has been fixed. It was the reverse proxy through Cosmos. I missed setting up the proper settings in Emby itself.

Resolved following the "emby setup" portion of the following guide:
