MacOS app goes back to the home screen but I can still hear the audio stream

Everytime I try and watch something on the MacOS client it just crashes back to the home screen. Watching via Chrome browser is fine its just the app that is having the issue. 

It makes watching things unwatchable as it does it every few minutes and I have to restart it everytime. 

I noticed in the logs it says the following everytime: 
Info SessionManager: Reissuing access token: x_secret1_x

So it must be something to do with the access token. Any ideas as it's getting quite annoying?

Its worth mentioning it doesn't just do it while playing things. Simply having the emby app open does the same thing
