rechigo 364 Posted July 25, 2025 Posted July 25, 2025 When trying to resume playback on Roku, the file will start playing from the beginning. Even if I try skipping ahead to where I was, the playback position will go right back to zero. This will happen until I force a VIDEO transcode by playback correction, and only then will playback resume correctly and allow me to skip. This doesn't happen with all files and at this time I haven't ran into the issue enough to pin-point what conditions cause this to happen. I am running latest Emby server beta 4.9.1.10 and Roku 4.1 build 46. I sent logs at roughly 4:43 PM EST under local user "luke" which will contain me attempting to resume playback two times, both resulting in video starting at 0:00.
Luke 42077 Posted July 25, 2025 Posted July 25, 2025 Hi, can you please attach the Emby server log as well? Thanks.
rechigo 364 Posted July 26, 2025 Author Posted July 26, 2025 Do you want server application and transcode log?

ebr 16169 Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 Hi. Try a simple remux of the mkv file using something like MKVToolNix and see if that solves it. If the MKV file isn't assembled exactly to spec, the Roku may not like it.
